JONESVILLE - Lewis Manning Fowler, 82, of 385 Poplar Road died July 1, 1997, in Wallace Thomson Hospital after an extended illness.

A native of Union County, he was the son of the late Ezra and Ola Fowler Fowler.

He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and the Prudence Masonic Lodge of Jonesville. He was retired from Kohler Co. of Spartanburg.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Fowler Fowler; two daughters, Dolores Fowler of the home and Janice Patton of Gaffney; a son, George Fowler of the home; a sister, Frances Edson of Columbia; a brother, Walter Fowler of Ridgeville; and three grandchildren.

The body will lie in state at S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home, Jonesville Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Revs. David Brown and Scott Pelry.

The family is at the home.
