Baptised 4 Jul 1827 at All Saint's Church at Southampton, Hampshire, England to William Conway Keele and Anna Sophia Moore, William emigrated from London arriving at New York City aboard the ship Columbia. The family settled in the west riding of York in the Home District of Upper Canada. Sometime around 1853 William married Eliza Thomas and they stayed in West York Township moving to North Cayuga Township in Haldimand Count sometime before the 1881 Census. Sometime before 1901 the family again moved settling first at Turtle Mountain Rural Municipality in the Lisgar Distract of Manitoba and then in Winnipeg where Eliza died in 1904. William then resided with his son Herbert and his family and by 1916 was comitted to the Selkirk Asylum where he died in 1917.
