GERALDINE J. O'DONNELL, 87, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2009, at Heritage Park Health Care Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Jackson, Minn., she was a homemaker and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family gatherings and enjoyed gardening. "We will miss her wonderful pies." She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (David) Emery of Granger; sons, Dennis (Sandra) O'Donnell of Batavia, Ill., Brian O'Donnell of Fort Wayne, Jeffrey O'Donnell of Ship-shewana and Greg O'Donnell of Mainsville, Ohio; eight grandchildren; sister, Juliette Haugrud of Minnesota; and brothers, John Cihak of Barnesvill, Minn. and Adrian Cihak of Fargo, N.D. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank O'Donnell; three brothers; and three sisters. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1910 Hale Avenue, with calling one hour prior. Father Timothy Wrozek officiating. Arrangements by D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana, Berne. Special thanks to the weekend ER staff of Lutheran Hospital and also Dr. April Morrison and staff.
