This is in memory of my cousin, Sanford, who we all called "Bubby". His mother, Elizabeth Dauzat, and my father, Thomas Ducote, were siblings. Bubby was 53 years old when he passed on. He left behind his mother, one brother, Stafford, and three sisters, Janet, Ina and Dot. Bubby is now with his father, Leonard Dauzat, and his younger sister, Diane Dauzat Bell .

Bubby was older than me but throughout my adult years, we would get together often to have fun with family and friends. He loved to dance and take care of his mother. My Aunt Lizy was his everything. He loved all his family. He worked with my daddy, his uncle, Thomas Ducote in our stores for many years. He groomed animals and remodeled old homes. Bubby was very creative and had many friends. He then became sick and his family was there for him every minute until he left us. Three years later, his mother went on to meet him. In Setember, 2006, Dot's, partner, B.J. Ledet passed away also so they are all together now. Bubby will always be remembered and missed.
