Death after 36 years of incapacity, due to paralysis, came to George B Archer, 63, resident of Denton, early yesterday. Pneumonia was the direct cause of his death. George Archer was the son of the late William and Rebecca Archer, pioneer settlers of this vicinity. At his death he had been married for 40 years to Carrie Morgan, step-daughter of the late James Chaney of Denton. As a young man Mr. Archer was an upholsterer by trade. Soon after their marriage, he moved to St. Joe with his bride. When he was 27 he suffered a sudden stroke of paralysis which left him barley able to get around. Returning to Denton, he had made his home there, living a kindly, frugal life, loved and respected by many.
He is survived by his wife and two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Jones of Clay Center, Kas., and Mrs. Stella Rumley of Omaha, Nebr.
The funeral will be tomorrow (Monday) after noon at 2 o'clock in the Methodist church in Denton. Burial will be in the Denton Cemetery.
