His full name was Benjamin Franklin Beemer. His obit. in Dixon Evening Telegraph, Dixon, Lee Co., Illinois, Feb. 19, 1937, p.1, Col. 6. under Compton: It shows he was born 22 June 1851, on the old Beemer homestead in Brooklyn Twp., son of Alexander Beemer [Arseneth Wilsie, per Benjamin Franklin's birth record]. "Frank" married (1) Miss Sarah Neil who died in 1885. In 1887 he married Miss Mary Ahart, who died 7 yrs ago. Two children survive: Jud [Judson] Beemer of Compton & a daughter residing in Marble Rock, Iowa; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Body was taken to Marble Rock for interment.
His wife Mary Ahart is also buried in Westside Cemetery (1851-1930). She died 15 Apr. 1930, age 76, Rochester, Olmsted Co., Minnesota; her marital status is shown as married; her spouse, Frank Beemer; her father- Herman Ahart.
