Boyd William Baker of Vidor, Texas died Tuesday at Buna, Texas in an auto accident. He was 74 and had been a resident of Vidor for several years. Baker was born December 12, 1917 in Stigler, the son of Russell Reed and Dovie Loueaster Hamilton Baker.

He was a retired construction laborer and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include three brothers, Lawerance baker of Alaska, Thomas Baker of Atoka and Raymond Baker of Oklahoma City; six sisters, Rosie Orand of Eufaula, Annie Winton of Buffalo Valley, Jewel Barker of Del city, Oldine Carter of Atoka, Beatrice Leasure of Waynete and Betty Marcum of Coalgate.

Graveside services will be 2pm Saturday at Centerpoint cemetery, Wilburton, under direction of Clayton Funeral Home, Clayton.(MB)
