Born to Canadian parents, Bruno Verrier and Zoe Rainville in Great Falls, New Hampshire. When he was a small child he moved back to Canada (Quebec) with his family. He left his family at a young age, about 15, to the USA to make something for himself. He traveled all over the country until he met Mary Dell Gedney in California. They married September 10, 1916 and settled in Pinal County, AZ. Together they had three children, Zoedell, Edmund Gedney, and Hazel Inez. Edmund also raised Mary Dell's daughter, Alice, from her previous marriage. He worked as a janitor at a local school until his unexpected death on Christmas Eve of 1936.
