Leta Bell Bader, 90, of Quincy, Ill., formerly of Canton, Mo., died Saturday, July 8, 2006, in her home in Quincy, Ill. Born May 22, 1916, near St. Patrick, Mo., a daughter of Henry A. and Bessie Collins Bader. In 1923 she left Lewis Co. moving to Keokuk, Iowa. She attended Howard Cosmetology College at Burlington, Iowa, where she graduated May, 1933. She owned and operated a Beauty Parlor in Keokuk until 1945. She returned to live in Lewis Co. and made her home in the Canton area for the next 51 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Canton, Mo. Survivors include: one daughter, Susie Bader Fisch of Quincy, Ill.; two grandsons Jason Lee Schmid and wife Tatiane of Idaho Falls, Ida., and Joseph Andrew Fisch and wife Adrianne of Salt Lake City, Utah; one great granddaughter, Emma Joy Schmid. She is preceded in death by her parents, her fiancé Nelson Spicknall; one sister, Glodean and one brother Robert in infancy, aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation was Sunday, July 9, at Davis Funeral Home in Canton, Mo. A scripture services was Sunday evening at Davis Funeral Home. Funeral services were Monday, July 10 at Davis Funeral Home with Rev. James Wheeler officiating. Interment was in Forest Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or the charity of donor's choice. Music was recorded selections. Pallbearers: Jason L. Schmid, Joseph A. Fisch, Floyd Muegge, Kirby Clark, Stephen Clark, and Douglas Clark.
