The funeral for Mrs. Hazel L. Montos, 83, 712 W. Sherman Ave.was held at 11 a.m. today at the Raleigh J. Harris Funeral Home. The Rev. Stanley Murdock of the First Baptist Church officiated., Mrs. James McCabe was organist. Burial was in South Side Cemetery.

Mrs. Mantos who had been in failing health for two years, died Saturday at 7:30 a.m. at St. James Hospital.

She was born Oct 30, 1892, in Pontiac, a daughter of Irving and Harriett (Platt) Denning. She married Sam Mantos May 4, 1925. Surving are her husband and several cousins. A sister and a brother preceded her in death. Mrs. Mantos belonged to the Baptist Church
