"Mrs. Nettie E. Grimes, 66, a resident of 2327 18th Ave., Gulfport, died at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport. Born Oct. 11, 1911, in Bond, Miss., she was a long-time resident of Gulfport where she was a member of Burton Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Jimmie Grimes, Gulfport; a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Enla Ray) Moran, Lyman; two grandchildren; two brothers, Mack Byrd, Gulfport, and John Byrd, Las Vegas, Nev., and two sisters, Mrs. Hilda Barton, Belton, Tex., and Mrs. Lloyd (Catherine) Grace of Wiggins. Friends may call from 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday at Riemann Funeral Home in Gulfport. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Frank Casey and the Rev. Raymond Wesson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport."
