Retired BS Co. Employe, John H. Bender, 67, Dies
John H. Bender, 67, 1994 Walnut St., husband of Anna R. Horn Bender, died this morning in the Lebanon Valley General Hospital.
A retired employe of the Bethlehem Steel Company, he was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church; the Eagles, and the Retired Steelworkers. He was a member and past president of the Pennsylvania Catholic Beneficial League.
Born in Lebanon County, he was a son of the late John F. and Catherine Allwein Bender.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, John F. Bender; Anna M., wife of Robert Snyder; Helen C., wife of Claude G. Kleiser, and Joan A., wife of Wilmer Lingle, all of Lebanon; 12 grandchildren; four brothers, Raymond Bender, Joseph Bender, Guy Bender and James Guare, all of Lebanon; two sisters, Pauline, wife of Adam Maurer and Florence, wife of Joseph Smetana, both of Lebanon.

Funeral services for John H. Bender, husband of Anna R. Horn Bender of 1994 Walnut St., were held this morning from the Rohland Funeral Home.
A Requiem High Mass was celebrated in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, with the Rev. Joseph H. Fornwalt, celebrant. Interment was made in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were grandsons, Dennis M. Snyder, John Lingle and William Lingle, and sons-in-law, Claude Kleiser, Robert Snyder and Wilmer Lingle.
