Rathiel Elizabeth Nancy Saphrinia "Dollie" McGlaun was born on 22 July 1865 in Bienville Parish, Louisiana, to Edmond McGlaun Jr and Martha Evans Tullis. The McGlaun family left Louisiana, 1872-73, moving to Robertson County, Texas, where they established a cotton gin and gristmill at Wooten Wells. Later, the family moved to Nesbitt, Texas, where Dollie's father owned and operated two cotton gins and 2000 acres of land. Dollie married Benjamin Franklin "Ben" Allen on 20 October 1881 in Robertson County, Texas. Their sons sons were John, Charles, Walter, and Henry Allen. Dollie was widowed when Ben died in 1893. Dollie McGlaun Allen died, 3 May 1933, aged 67, in Robertson County, Texas, and was buried with her husband at Nesbitt Cemetery in Nesbitt, Texas.
