Earl Bev McCracken, 74, of 1716 Hickory Drive, died at 9:42 p.m. Wednesday at Hedrick Medical Center. He had been in failing health two months and seriously ill the past week.

Mr. McCracken was born Feb.13, 1900, in Carroll County, son of Charles and Mary Francis Burton McCracken. He attended the Baxter school. Dec. 21, 1926 he was married to Beulah Cooper in Chillicothe. He was a laborer and a member of the Blue Mound Christian Church. The family lied in the Dawn and Blue Mound area until 1942 when they moved to Chillicothe.

Survivors include his wife, Beulah of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Willa Jean Harris, 907 Walnut, Chillicothe; a brother Harley McCracken, Chillicothe; and two grandsons Jerry and Garry Scott, both of Chillicothe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 at the chapel of the Norman Funeral Home with the Rev. Walter Bingham and the Rev. Clifford Wrisinger officiating.

Burial will be in Blue Mound cemetery.
