Funeral services for Mr. Larry Vance Gosdin, 63, will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 28, 2016, at the Old Sarepta Missionary Baptist Church, Sarepta, LA, with Rev. Todd Pickard officiating. Interment will follow in Old Sarepta Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 27, 2016, from 5:30 to 8:00 pm at Bailey Funeral Home.
Mr. Gosdin was born on October 9, 1952 to Ben and Doris Jean "Dot" Dean Gosdin in Cotton Valley, LA and passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at his home in Sarepta, LA. He was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of Old Sarepta Missionary Baptist Church. He was employed by Ken's Heating and Air. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving hunting, fishing and car racing.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Doris Jean "Dot" Dean Gosdin of Sarepta, LA; two sisters, Sharon Wynne and husband, Thomas of Newton, TX, Annette Watson of Shreveport, LA; two daughters, Angela Adams and husband, Terry, and Sheri Lynn Perkins and husband, Jamin all of Springhill, LA; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gosdin was preceded in death by his father, Ben Gosdin, maternal grandparents, D. I. "Cub" and Callie Evans Dean, paternal grandparents, H. B. and Lillie Mae Hunter Gosdin.
Pallbearers will be Jason Benson, Allen Modisette, Kevin Modisette, Ken Thomas, Howard Lynn Dean and Micah Dean.
