Arthur C. Day, 40, Provo, died Tuesday morning at the Utah Valley Hospital of a heart condition. He was born March 22, 1930 in Egar, Arizona, a son of Simpson and Myrl Rowley Day. He had been ill since July 1970.
He married Joan Hurst on September 5, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a member of the LDS Church. He came to Utah from St. Johns, Arizona in 1942. He was very active in Scouting and was a Regal Scout leader in Boulder, Nevada area and from 1950-1952. He served a mission to England. He also served two two-year home missions in Nevada and in Utah.
Dr. Day was educated in Provo schools, being a graduate of Provo High school and attended Brigham Young University. He was an electrician, working in construction in Nevada, Utah, Hawaii, Texas, and Arizona.
Survivors include his widow, Provo; three sons and five daughters, Herbert, David, Wallace, Kim, Karen, Rhonda, Tami, and Shauna, all of Provo; his mother, Provo; two brothers and two sisters, Simpson C. Day, Thell E. Day, both of Layton; Mrs. Kenneth (Divina) Snow, Clearfield; Shirley Day, Provo.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Provo 17th Ward Chapel, 1350 W. 1550 N. Burial will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
