Floyd "Whitey" Tout
April 20, 1913 — July 7, 2004

Floyd "Whitey" Tout of Seneca, died July 7.

Services were held July 12, at St. Andrews Cemetery in Canyon City with a reception that followed at the Seneca City Hall.

Mr. Tout was born April 20, 1913, to Edward and Rebecca Tout. He was raised on the family homestead at Texas Ridge near Deary, Idaho. He moved to Seneca in 1941 to work as an equipment operator for Edward Hines Lumber Co. Shortly after, he joined the Army to fight in World War II. While serving in France and North Ireland he met and married Bridget Quin. After 37 years, he retired in 1978.

He spent his time enjoying his family, his horses, dogs and the outdoors.

Survivors include his sister, Idola of Arizona; four daughters, Margaret Schatz of Seneca, Eileen Pierce of Kuno, Idaho, Patty Tout of Springfield and Mary Carr of Seneca; son, Perry Tout of Bend, 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers and two sisters.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice, in care of Driskill Memorial Chapel, 241 S. Canyon Blvd., John Day, OR 97845. (Blue Mountain Eagle newspaper)
