Agnes was the daughter of the late Charles and Minnie (Fox) Miller.
She was a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and served as a teacher for 27 years. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Gettysburg, Lutheran Church Women, Business and Professional Women's Club of Gettysburg, Delta Kappa Gamma and the Pennsylvania State Education Association.
She was the wife of the late Raymond H. Amalong, who departed this life in 1998, and surviving are two sons, Russell M. Amalong of Phoenixville and Ronald J. Amalong of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Alfred Miller, of Jeannette, PA; and two sisters, Irene Miller of Jeanette, PA and Naomi Miller of Santa Rosa, CA.
