Lloyd George Curl, 79, died at his home Thursday after a long illness.
Born July 12, 1907 in Franklin Township, Appanoose County, he was the son of Walter R. and Zella Faye Irelan Curl. He lived most of his life in Franklin Township. In 1926, he married Mable Mishler, who died in 1938. In 1959, he married Willette Jackson, who survives.
He had been a longtime member of the Drake Avenue Christian Church in Centerville. For several years he operated a custom automotive shop in Centerville, and the Curl Ambulance Service.
In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Edna Lucille; four brothers, Harry, Elvin, Edgar and Everett; and one step-daughter, Linda Dunham.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one daughter, Marjorie Eatock; two stepsons, Raymond and Michael Jackson, 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and friends.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Johnson-Lange Funeral Home, with interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Cincinnati. Memorials may be made to the National Diabetic Society or the American Cancer Society.
