Funeral services for Melcie Peters, 88, Bethel, were at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Kulli Chito Presbyterian Church, Bethel, with the Rev. Gene Wilson officiating.
Burial was in Kulli Chito Cemetery, Bethel, under the direction of Norwood-Coffey-Leonard Funeral Home, Broken Bow.
Mrs. Peters died Nov. 21 in Broken Bow. She was born March 15, 1912, in Bethel and was a lifetime McCurtain County resident. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Ed Peters in 1998; and by two grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Samuel Peters, Hugo; five daughters, Melissa Bohannan, Virginia Jefferson and Jasney Wade, all of Bethel, Francine Howell, Wichita, Kan., and Effie Shomo, Idabel; 33 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
