He was born on August 2, 1925 in Shenandoah and was the son of the late Floyd and Lillian Strole Foltz.
Mr. Foltz was a lifelong resident of Shenandoah and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and Avis O. Comer VFW Post #8613. He was a US Navy and WWII Veteran. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Lucille McAlister Foltz on May 30, 2014.
He is survived by his children, William H. "Bill" Foltz of Shenandoah, Charles I. Foltz and wife, Lois S., of Delaplane, VA, Patricia "Pat" Foster and husband, Dwight, of Stanley, Kathryn Marie Deavers and husband, Kenneth, of Shenandoah; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Kathryn Layman of New Market; a niece and a nephew.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
