Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Arch B. and Annie Lark Crain. Mr. Crain served in the US Army, was Owner/Operator of Crain’s Exxon, was associated with Travelers Rest Motors, Western Auto, and several other small businesses in Travelers Rest. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are two daughters: Darlene Estes (Kevin), of Fernandina Beach, FL, and Wanda Waldrop (Michael Keith Melton), of Easley, SC; one sister: Thelma Dalessandro, of Travelers Rest, SC; one brother: Rube J. Crain, of Marietta, SC; two grandchildren: Misty and Brent Waldrop, and their father Donnie Waldrop, of Marietta, SC; two great-grandchildren: : Chance and Madison Chapman, of Marietta; two step grandchildren: Michael Estes, and Sean Estes (Jill), of Tampa, FL; and two step great-grandchildren: Kingston and Oliva Estes, of Tampa, FL.
Along with his parents and loving wife, he was predeceased by infant daughter: Peggy Sharon; four sisters: Lula Jewell, Lois Beeco, Velma Crain, and his twin, Mayelle Cannada; two brothers: Fred and Ralph Crain; and one step grandson: Dylan Estes.
Burial: Mountain View Memorial Park.
