Johnnie was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma to John Edward and Jannie Laura Hayes Kemp. Johnnie married first to a Mr. Bishop, and to them were born two daughters. By this time they had moved to Texas.
Later Johnnie married Kenneth Landers and they eventually settled in Denton, Texas, where Johnnie worked as a nurse for the Texas State School of Denton. She had been retired a few years when she fell ill.
She is survived by daughters Laura Ann Bishop Jones and Lora Lee Bishop Fulgham. Stepdaughter Cynthia Elizabeth Landers Rojas, Stepsons, Steven, Jeffrey and James Landers. Grandchildren,Kenneth Brackenridge, Kelley Brackenridge, Jennifer Lee Bishop,Step grandchildren: Amber and Ashley Landers, Step great grandchild, Joseph Rojas, Great grandchildren, Christian Alexander Brackenridge and Hayden Ehle Brackenridge.
