Bill served his country in the Marine Corps. He owned his own asphalt and paving business for many years. He was a collector of all sorts of things, from arrowheads to knives; but he especially loved hot rod cars and NASCAR.
Bill is survived by one son, two daughters, five grandchildren, one brother, three sisters, and several other family members. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Clyde Jr., Phillip “Nick”, Larry and John; and one sister, Willa.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 19, 2016, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Gerald Hamlett officiating. The song selections will be “Long Black Train”, “Live Like You Were Dying”, and “Go Rest High on the Mountain”. Inurment will be in the West Lawn Addition of the Versailles Cemetery.
