CHESTER PUCKETT DIES AT HOME IN WINCHESTER
Chester Puckett, 77, retired farmer and for 21 years a threshing machine operator, died Thursday at 1:20 a.m. at his home, 305 North West street in Winchester. He had been in failing health for seven years and seriously ill the last few days.
Mr. Puckett was born Novembber 17, 1876 in the Buena Vista community, the son of Nathaniel and Sarah (Adamson) Puckett. On April 4, 1896 he was married to Lizzie M. Slack, the couple observing their fifty-seventh wedding anniversary last April.
Surviving are the widow, one daughter, Mrs. Thersie Frazier of Union City; a grandson, Charles Hutchins of Columbus, Ohio; a great-granddaughter, Donna Lee; and a half-brother, Emerson Puckett of Bluffton.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Buena Vista church in charge of Rev. N. H. Thornburg. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Friends may call at the residence to where the body will be removed from the Thornburg funeral home, Friday after 10:30 a.m.
