BERNICE WISEMAN, daughter of Emmitt Henry and Eda Isabelle (Ash) Foster, was born on August 20, 1934, in Edwards, Missouri and passed away on May 13, 2016, surrounded by her family, at her home in Marshfield, Missouri, at the age of 81.

On January 3, 1953, in the basement of Bernice’s aunt Pearl’s house in Warsaw, she was united in marriage with Wayne Wiseman and to this union two sons were born, all surviving. Bernice and Wayne were inseparable as a couple. Where you found one, you would find the other. God truly joined them together and they celebrated 63 years together inspiring others.

Years ago, during a gospel meeting preached by brother Fred Kirbo, Bernice and Wayne obeyed the gospel together, being baptized for the remission of their sins and the Lord added them to His church. She was a faithful member of the Wildwood congregation of the Church of Christ, in Marshfield. There she was a wonderful example to the members of the church. She was always offering to help anyone at any time. She spent countless hours in the kitchen fixing food to take to those who were sick, or had her home open to visiting preachers or those who would come by and stay for a while. She was a fitting example of the virtuous woman of Proverbs 31. During her free time, she would enjoy listening to southern gospel music from the Gaither Music Series, while she would crochet a blanket and talk with Wayne, visit with family or church members that would stop by. Her home was a place of comfort and rest and Christian fellowship to so many that Bernice and Wayne truly loved as their own.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne, of the home; two sons, Ronald Wayne and his wife Debby, of Independence and Roger Duyane and his wife Tanna, of Marshfield; one brother, Wayne Henry Foster and his wife Lavonne, of Morrisville; four sisters, Laura Ingram and her husband Dean, of Warsaw, Mary Goldie, of Kennewick, Washington, Wilma Darlington and her husband Ed, of Belton and Lucille Miller and her husband Richard, of Eldon; five grandchildren, Chasity Wilson, of Jefferson City, Richard Wayne Wiseman and David Reed, both of Independence, Foster Emmitt and Kalyssa Ariel Wiseman, both of Marshfield; six great grandchildren, Richard Wayne Wiseman, Jr., Trinity Marie Wiseman, Justin Smith, all of Independence and Grayson and Kaleigh and Connor Verhelli, of Jefferson City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Betty Laney and two grandchildren, Quinton Jackson Wiseman and Kaleah Ashlynne Wiseman.

She was a terrific wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who had been blessed by her presence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 18, 2016 with evangelist Steve Watts officiating, in the Reser Funeral Home, 101 West Main Street, Warsaw, Missouri, with the family receiving family and friends from 1:00 P.M. until time of service. Interment will follow the service in the Cable Ridge Cemetery.

For those desiring, memorials may be made to the African Mission Work, c/o Church of Christ 454 Wilson Hill Road, Readyville, Tennessee 37149, or the Cable Ridge Cemetery and may be left with the funeral home.
