Bobby grew up and attended school in Strong City, Oklahoma. In 1949, he graduated from Cheyenne High School. After graduation, he furthered his education at the University of Oklahoma where he received his Batchelor's Degree in Psychology and Sociology and also obtained a minor in Spanish.
After completion of college, he taught and coached school at Strong City. He was married to Frankie Darlene (Bonds) Scott at Strong City, Oklahoma on March 23, 1956. After their marriage Bobby and Darlene moved to Altus, Hugo and Edmond while Bobby worked at the Oklahoma State Security Commission. In 1987 Bobby retired after 31 years of service and moved to Strong City to make their home. Bobby enjoyed gardening, wood working, listening to music, watching OU football and reading.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, George Lloyd Scott II, Vincent Harold Scott and 1 sister, Billie Agnes Vincent.
Survived by his wife, Darlene, of the home; 2 daughters, Karen Stringer and husband, Glynn, Delhi, Oklahoma; and Janice Stevenson and husband, Wayne, Edmond, Oklahoma; 2 sons, Robert Scott, Strong City, Oklahoma and Thomas Scott and wife, Becky, Elk City, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher, Samantha, and Franklin, Whitney, Kristen, 3 great grandchildren, Brennon, Colton, Cherokee, 1 brother, Gary Scott and wife, Jeanette, Strong City, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Betty Lamb and husband, Stanley, Sayre, Oklahoma; and Lonna Long, Hacieda Heights, California; and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held Friday, April 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Strong City Baptist Church officiated by Jonathan Flemming. Burial will be held at Strong City Cemetery, Strong City, Roger Mills County, Oklahoima under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
