JOHN A. WILLIS DIES FOLLOWING LONG ILLNESS
John A. Willis, 80 years old, Winchester route 1, died at his home shortly before noon Wednesday following an extended illness. He resided about five miles southwest of Winchester on the Huntsville road.
The son of Robert and Elizabeth Adamson Willis, he was born and raised in the area in which he resided at the time of his death. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include the wife, Pearl; a son, Loren E. Willis of near Winchester; two daugthers, Mrs. John Mills of Farmland and Mrs. William Thomas of near Parker; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Julia Rust of Winchester.
Funeral arrangements for Mr. Willis will be announced later from the Thornburg funeral home in Winchester.
