She was born in Monroe County on March 9, 1922, and was a daughter of the late James "Jimmy" Ezra Sheffield and Mary Ellen Butler Sheffield. Miss Sheffield was disabled.
Survivors include a nephew, three nieces, Jo Ellen Brown of Gamaliel and Janice Russell and Judy Biggerstaff, both of Tompkinsville; and a sister, Ardath Sheffield of Tompkinsville.
She was also preceded in death by a nephew, and two sisters, Mildred Sheffield and Edith Tooley.
Funeral services will be today at 1 p.m. at the Yokley-Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, with Brother Jerry Tooley officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Log-Bowman Cemetery.
