She was born in Monroe County on July 16, 1931, and was a daughter of the late James Ezra "Jimmy" Sheffield and Mary Ellen Butler Sheffield.
Survivors include one nephew; three nieces: Jo Ellen Brown of Gamaliel, Janice Russell and Judy Biggerstaff, both of Tompkinsville; two sisters: Adrath Sheffield and Imogene Sheffield, both of Tompkinsville.
She was also preceded in death by a nephew; a great-nephew; and one sister, Edith Tooley.
Funeral services were at the Yokley-Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, with Brother Jerry Tooley officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Log-Bowman Cemetery.
