"Laurel -- Faye Mitchell, 94, Dixon, will be Monday, Feb. 21, at 1:30 p.m. at Schumacher-Hasemann Funeral Home here. The Rev. J. C. Browne will officiate with burial in the Concord Cemetery." "She died Friday, Feb. 18, 2005, at Hillcrest Care Center. The daughter of William and Edna (Joyce) Heikes was born Nov. 4, 1910, on a farm near Dakota City. She attended school at Obert. She was united in marriage to Stanley Mitchell on Aug. 19, 1930, at Obert. The couple farmed in Cedar and Wayne counties until retiring in 1969., They moved to Dixon in 1990." She was survived by 1 daughter, 1 grandson, 3 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, and 3 sisters.
