Gwendda L. Cooley, 71, of 55 Blaine Ave. died Tuesday, March 14, 1995, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.

Born Feb. 7, 1924, in Bucklin, Mo., to Thomas P. and Mary Elizabeth Jones Admire, she married Edward L. Cooley on Oct. 24, 1938, in Macon, Mo. He died in 1983. She also was preceded in death by one son, Thomas L., on Feb. 5, 1942, and one brother.

Surviving are one son, David A. of Galesburg; two daughters, Frankie Luallen of Knoxville and Gwendda DeJaynes of Winter, Wis.; four brothers, Wallace Admire of Haltom City, Texas, Franklin Lloyd Admire of Galesburg, Lawrence E. Admire of Las Vegas and Francis Floyd Admire of Independence, Mo.; and two sisters, Nina Slade of Las Vegas and Margaret Blundy of Dahinda.

She worked at the former Gale Products. She then worked at Outboard Marine Corp. for 31 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of American Legion Post 894 Auxiliary.

Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.
