Deaths.
Clum - At Eureka Springs, Ark., Thursday noon, July 22, 1897, Aaron Clum, aged 57 years, 4 months and 8 days. The remains were brought to his home south of Severy last Saturday morning and the funeral services were held at the house Sunday at 2 p.m., after which the body was laid to rest beside the grave of his father in the Cresco cemetery.
The deceased was a prominent and well to do farmer and stock man of Elk County where he has lived for the past twenty years or more.
He was born in Williams county, Ohio. he removed to Kansas in the 70's and was married to Miss Adaline Franklin who died June 10th, 1877. On January 1st, 1878, he married Mrs. K. McKey, who survives him. He also leaves three sons, Orval, Norval and Frank, who are with their mother on the farm. Mr. Clum had been ill for the past year, and about two months ago he went to Eureka Springs in hopes that they would give him some relief, but he continued to grow weaker, and death claimed another victim.
The bereaved wife and sons have the sympathy of all in the loss of husband and father.
