Mrs. Bertha Permelia Amey Phelps, 82, 1384 Michigan Ave. (990 South), died Monday at 5:50 p.m., in a Salt Lake rest home after a long illness. Born Aug. 5, 1879 at Monmouth, Ill., to Aaron and Sarah Curphey Amey. Married to Edward Raymond Phelps Aug. 12, 1902, Salt Lake City. (photo)
Member of the Methodist Church, Ladies Literary Club; Past Worthy Matron, Lynds Chapter No. 1, OES.
Survivors: husband; daughter, Mrs. Homer S. Culp Sr., Salt Lake City; grandson, Capt. Robert P. Randal, with the U.S. Air Force in Korea; three great-grandchildren; brother, sister, Oscar J., Jefferson, Iowa; Mrs. J. Warren Duff, Scranton, Iowa.
Funeral Thursday at 1 p.m., 574 East 1st South, where friends may call one-half hour prior to services. Burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
