Lydia B. Black 1916 ~ 2005

Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Lydia Black, returned to her heavenly father on January 26, 2005 at the age of 88. Lydia was born May 30, 1916 in Manti, Utah to George K. and Sarah Lucille Black and was one of 12 children. She married Robert Thomas Black on October 8, 1940 in Winnemucca, Nevada. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many callings and blessing the lives of countless people. She also served for many years in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Lydia was a wonderful mom and grandma and was cherished by her family. She had many good friends and will be missed by all. As a family we were blessed to have her in our life. Preceded in death by her husband, Bob, her parents and six sisters and five brothers. She is survived by two children Georgiana (John) Day and Bob (Pam) Black, 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Monday January 31, 2005, 12:00 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 So. Highland Drive. Family will receive friends at a viewing, Sun. January 30, 2005 from 5-7 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn also one hour prior to the service on Monday. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn.
