Carolyn Allen-Flowers, born June 8, 1955, to Thelma Bell and Earl Henderson. She peacefully transitioned at age 60 on April 23, 2016.
Carolyn accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.
Carolyn graduated from Wendell Phillips High School in Chicago, IL. She was employed by Laidlaw Bus Company and Splish Splash Laundromat in Joliet, Illinois.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her mother, Thelma Bell; her father, Earl Henderson; one grandson, Raekwon Allen; two brothers, Joe Ford and Melvin Bell; and one sister-in-law, Addie Thompson.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories; a loving husband, Louis Flowers, Sr.; three wonderful children, Cherlyn (Tony) Allen-Junior, Nathaniel (Kristine) Allen and Joseph (Antionetta) Allen; four step-children, Pastor Victor (Jannie) Flowers, Dennis Flowers, Jocelyn "Cookie" Flowers and Neal Flowers; six amazing siblings, Joann (Charles) Jackson, Talula Allen, Jeanette (Eddie) Johnson, Willie Bell, Earlean Bell and Diane Owens; ten precious grandchildren, Devion, Aniyah, Kiwonna, Anastacia, Caleb, Seth, Latrell, Jermaine, Ariana and Shakeerah; two great grandsons; five nieces, Octavia, Cherise, Nesha, Nikki and Lanita; five nephews, Joe Jr., David, Macon, Brandon and Kenny. She also leaves to cherish her fond memories a host of cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home and Friday, April 29, 2016, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Angelus Memorial Chapel, 8243 S. Ashland Ave., Chicago, IL.
Service at 10:00 AM, Minister Tony Junior, officiating.
Interment following at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
