Daisy Barbee - UNIVERSAL CITY, TX -
Daisy Edmondson Barbee passed away on April 22nd, 2016 at the age of 91. She was born on August 25th, 1924 in Savannah, Georgia to John and Alva (Johnson) Edmondson.
She was a dental receptionist for Dr. Donald R. Smidt in Universal City, Texas for more than twenty years and was also an active member of the First Baptist Church of Universal City.
Daisy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Freddie A. Barbee; brother, John Edmondson (Bootsie); and sister, Doris McKendree. She is survived by her daughter, Gail Barbee; brother, Michael Edmondson and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Universal City visitation for Daisy was held Friday, April 29, 2016 followed by a funeral service at First Baptist Church of Universal City.
The Savannah visitation was held Friday, May 6, 2016 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel, followed by a graveside burial service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Daisy was buried next to her husband and mother.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Go Outreach Ministry at the First Baptist Church of Universal City. -
