Anice was the daughter of Charlie Monroe Van Geem and Louisa Annice Frances (Edwards) Van Geem and the wife of Carl Leo Bryant, Sr. Anice and Carl had one child, a son, Carl L. Bryant, Jr, born 1922. In 1926 Anice died, the child's father passes form the picture, and the child, Carl L. Bryant,Jr, is raised by his maternal grandparents, Charlie and Frances Van Geem.
