Services for Mrs. Charlie Van Geem, 52, were held in the Methodist Church. Mrs. Van Geem had been a resident of Eastland County for 40 years. She came to Eastland County with her parents in 1884 and was located in what is known as the "Old Slayden Lease" near Ranger. In 1901, she was united in marriage with Charlie M. Van Geem, another pioneer family of Eastland County, and established their home where the present home now stands. Two children were born to this union, a girl, Mrs. Carl Bryant, deceased, and Henry Van Geem.
Survived by her husband; her son; one grandson - Carl Bryant; one sister - Iva Slayden; three brothers - Henry Edwards, Sam Edwards, Lary Edwards.
