Charles Donaldson, born about 1776, probably in or near Colvend, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland, a child of William Donaldson and Margaret Crosbie. Charles farmed 49 acres and became head cornmiller at the Barcloy Mill in Colvend. Charles married Euphemia Henderson but they had no children. Charles died at Barcloy Mill from typhus fever and left his entire estate to his widow Euphemia.
