Helen Eileen Pfeiffer, 79, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Pfeiffer was born Sept. 21, 1925, in Forsyth County to George Alexander and Maggie Beam Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, and a daughter, Deborah Crotts. She is survived by a son, Mike Pfeiffer and wife Kathy of Advance; a son-in-law, Charles Crotts of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren, Kristen Crotts and Nicholas Pfeiffer; a brother, Don Carpenter and wife Carol; and a sister, Edna Cartner and husband Bill, both of Kernersville. A 7 p.m. funeral service will be held today, Dec. 8, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at Parklawn Memorial Park.
