He was the son of the late Arthur H. Adair Sr. and the late Kathryn (Jacobs) Metoxen Adair.
He worked for the U. S. Post Office in York. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
Arthur was the husband of the late Dorene Spangler Adair and brother of the late Martin E. Metoxen.
He is survived by his sister, Yvonne K. Brockman; brother, J. Timothy Metoxen; six nieces and nephews; and his special friend, Jacqueline Lauer.
There will be a graveside service on Saturday May 7, at 1:30 p.m. at the Red Lion Cemetery, 33 N. Charles St., Red Lion with the Rev. Dr. Sterling E. Walsh, Jr. officiating.
