Mrs. HELEN HOLTER AHALT BUSSARD, wife of Luther D. Bussard, who resided at 1407 Rosemont Ave., died early Friday morning, Jan. 10, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital following a short illness. She was born near Frederick on Sept. 24, 1898, the daughter of the late William P. and Fannie Klein Holter.

Mrs. Bussard resided with her first husband, Paul R. Ahalt, a well-known Middletown Valley farmer, until his death in 1951, when she moved to Frederick. In 1956 she was married to Mr. Bussard and moved to her present home.

She was a graduate of the Girls High School and was Past President of the Alumnae Association. She attended Maryland State Normal School and the University of Maryland and taught for many years in several elementary school in Frederick County. After her marriage, she die substitute teaching and became a retired teacher in 1968.

Surviving her in addition to her husband are: one step-son, Walter L. Bussard, Wheaton; two step-daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Stull, Frederick, Mrs. May Kyne, Catonsville; five sisters, Miss Hazel Holter, Mrs. Roy A. Huffer, Misses Ruth K. Holter, Mary W. Holter, and Frances C. Holter, near Frederick; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services were held at the Smith, Fadeley, Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, Frederick; interment in the Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown.
