Mrs. Long was 91 years of age and had been a life long resident of this village with the exception of the time spent with her son in Florida. About one year ago Mrs. Long moved with her son to Florida where she remained until October 22nd when she came to Canton to reside with her daughter, Mrs. Clough.
The body was brought to Norwood, Tuesday, and the funeral held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. George H. Buck, on Prospect street, Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, Rev. W. D. Aubrey officiating. Interment made in Riverside Cemetery.
Mrs. Long was the mother of eleven children, four of who survive: Mrs. John Clough of Canton; Mrs. George H. Buck and Mrs. Benjamin Gilbo, of this village, and James Long of Gardenville, Fla. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
