Brooks Arledge, 64, of 937 Texas St., retired employee of the Pacific Mills, died early yesterday morning in the Veterans' Hospital.

He was a native of Richland County, a son of the late Sue Locklier Arledge and Charles H. Arledge, and made his home in Columbia all of his life.

Mr. Arledge was a member of Whaley Street Methodist Church, and a veteran of World War I.
