James Houston Strong passed away on April 17, 2016, at his home after a brief illness. He was born and raised in Copiah County. After military service with the marines, he worked at the U.S. Post Office until he retired. He was a quiet man who preferred to help while remaining in the back ground. He enjoyed gardening and playing with his dog. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Lottie strong; two brothers, Maurice and Virgil; and a sister, Ruth.
