Virginia G. King, 70, of Excelsior Springs, died Saturday, May 18, 1996 at Valley Manor Rehabilitation Center in Excelsior Springs. Mrs. King was born October 1, 1925, the daughter of James and Mattie Lee (Wallace) Ashcraft, in Mosby, MO.
On November 30, 1945 she was united in marriage to Carl King. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1975.
Mrs. King was a member of the Mosby Baptist Church.
She was employed for 10 years in the housekeeping department of the Excelsior Springs Medical Center.
Survivors include five sons, Johnnie Lee King, Terry King, Larry King, Richard King all of Excelsior Springs, MO; Jack King of Ferrelview, MO; two daughters, Ruth Springston of Nashville, TN; Sharon Parinio of Hasings, NE; two brothers, Tom Ashcraft of Wichita, KS; Clarence Ashcraft of Spring Hill, KS; three sisters, June Kessell of Lenexa, KS; Ruth Eakins of Bloomfield, IA; Fern Dagley of Mosby, MO; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were today (Wednesday) at the Prichard Chapel in Excelsior Springs; burial in Old Union Cemetery, Lawson.
