Maud Mitchell McCallie was born Thursday March 2, 1876 in Carrollton (Carroll County) Arkansas, To John Henry & Martha Ann Long McCallie, she was the third born out of nine children.,During the 1890's, they moved to the chickasaw Nation in Indian Territory near Ardmore, There she met Thomas Kelly Baker and on December 8,1892 they were married near Thackerville, Indian Territory, Oklahoma, To this marriage eight Children were born John Thaddeous Baker 1895/Bertie Alice Baker 1896/Walter Edward Baker 1898/Minnie Mitchell Baker 1901/Joseph Kelly Baker 1903/Elmer Leroy Baker 1906/Finis Cortez Baker 1911/Herbert Franklin Baker 1913. Maud Mitchell McCallie Baker was the Granddaughter of William T. & Mary Ann Hanks McCallie both of Tennessee. Maud passed away friday November 15, 1940 and is buried in the Baker family plot at Rosehill Cemetery, Ardmore, Carter County, Oklahoma.
