Wayne Henry "peg" Chenault, 88, 3900 S. Ind. 37, Bloomington, died Saturday afternoon at Bloomington Hospital.
Born Jan. 27, 1896, in Greyhampton [sic], Ky. he was the son of Henry Chenault and Mallie [sic] (Shrewsbury) Chenault. He was a retired crane operator at Carl Furst Stone Quarry. A World War I veteran, he was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Travaras. Fla.
Survivors include a daughter, G. Louise Fulford; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena (Moffatt) Chenault in 1979; five brothers and five sisters.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Day Mortuary, with the Rev. Don Maxson officiating. Burial will be in Clear Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
