Dennie Edens, 94, of Science Hill, Kentucky passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center.
He was born on May 6, 1921 in War Creek, Tennessee; son of the late William Luther and Betty Dye Edens. He was a farmer and a member of Ansel Baptist Church.
He is survived by one daughter, Eula & (John) Morgan of Yonore, TN; three sons, Charlie & (Shirley) Edens of Somerset, Gerald & (Sharon) Edens of Science Hill, and Boyd & (Elaine) Edens of Somerset; a daugthter-in-law, Connie Edens of Somerset; seventeen grandchildren; and numerous great- granchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Boyd Edens; six brothers; and four sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Woodcock officiating.
Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Visitation for Mr. Dennie Edens will be after 6 PM Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
